Prostituting a Woman’s Worth becomes a signpost, as Darla becomes the lesson, and she begins to wake up to what it would cost her if she did not heed the call.  Recognizing the exchange of her authentic worth for a false social self, she trades her authentic self for external validation, and security. The story leaves you wanting more, as Darla finds herself walking on broken glass.

Darla begins her inner journey in the deep forest within and puts a spotlight on women seeking refuge while recognizing the prevalence of trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental illnesses among women in civilian life. A deep challenge in our society. Her story shows a scene with a community of women sharing and looking for healing and a breakthrough from their traumas, mental, emotional, and cognitive conditions in the mental hospital.  She compares this outcry with 46.6 million adults experiencing mental health disorders according to the National Mental health (NIMH) and this number is expected to increase in the 21st century. Her healing journey begins in a mental hospital and unfolds in the arms of the Creative. This benevolent force shows her the way to overcome her treacherous path from conception to conviction and on a path of self-realization and in service to the Creative.  

Darla writes, “I’ve always been a seeker—an impulse to dive deep. I teacher through my example, a spiritual journey utilizing creativity to evolve in the most difficult and chaotic times in my life, ultimately leading to spiritual liberation, sovereignty as a woman, and taking my rightful place in the world.  I am here to show women, through my living example —encompassing my body, mind, and spirit —how I overcame some of the most excruciating obstacles by utilizing creativity and my deep faith in surrendering to something bigger than myself.”          

I grew up unchurched, and I hated doing art in my early life. So her teaching is not about religion or being a conventional artist; this is about something much more profound that Darla awakens to. A Deeper Womb, universally mirrored and intricately connected to a woman’s personal and deepest wounds, with public and private worlds clashing amongst old, worn-out imbalanced, patriarchal systems. A theme that unfolds throughout her journey.
